Il est né, le divin Enfant (English: He is born, the divine Child) is a French Christmas carol, based on a seventeenth-century melody, but with the lyrics first appearing between 1875 and 1876.
It has been recorded by Petula Clark, Placido Domingo, Annie Lennox and the Winchester Cathedral Choir, amongst others.
